OUR STORIES, COULD BE YOUR STORY
Girl with Grey Tshirt

Confident Woman

Christina, 36

I never experienced an atmosphere or genuine motivation for women helping other women. I did not have a prototype in my life until I connected with AM ME at one of their workshops. I found women who were like me, and I've uplifted every since.

Working in corporate America as a black woman, I learned to walk in both spaces. I was talented when it came to hiding my violent marriage and physical abuse. With the help of AM ME, I'm learning a new skill for my confidence and self-worth.

VOLUNTEER

I'm Lachelle Evans-Beard, Founder & Executive Director of AM ME. I help battered women find the courage to leave circumstances that are physically or emotionally unhealthy. Help me in this fight for EMPOWERMENT and volunteer as an Action Crusader today!

I thought that my life had to be this way. After I connected with AM ME, they helped me see the value in me and start working on my self-development as I take back my life. It's never too late to start again.

My boyfriend wanted to know where I was and what I was doing because he cared. No! That was control, and because I had low self-esteem, his verbal abuse was masking as love. Now I am an empowered woman who knows her worth, and I work on it daily thanks to AM ME.
